Through the years, we have been involved in many projects. Too many to list all in our website. To better give you an idea of the variety of projects that we have been involved in, we have listed a few here for you. This list will give you an idea of our range of capabilities.

Active Directory Implementation
Problem:
Customer is experiencing growth and their systems are still in a peer-to-peer network. Network printing is slow and unreliable. There are no clear backup procedures and user critical data is not being backed up properly. There are over 20 desktops/laptops configured to access business critical data. Network access security is complicated and hard to maintain.

Solution:
InMotion PC team of consultants met with customer's team and developed a project plan to move their systems to an Active Directory infrastructure. After implementation, customer realized improved network speeds as well as reliable network printing. Management of users is now done in a central location thus simplifying administration and enforcing strong security. All users' desktops & laptops are synchronized to customer's file servers to backup their data in the newly created backup strategy. Since the inception of Active Directory customer support calls have decreased by 30%.


VPN Implementation
Problem:
Customer requires a solution to access mission critical data residing on company's main servers while working remotely in other cities. Under current configuration, customer has remote control software installed on the server which exposes problems due to improper use.

Solution:
InMotion PC interviews customer and performs a needs assessment of what critical systems and data require remote access. After careful consideration of customer's requirements, InMotion PC provides a VPN solution to allow remote workers connect to the company network and retrieve the data required for their daily activities. Since implementation, customer has been able to securely provide access to an entire workforce thus improving business operations.

Virus & Spyware Clean-up
Problem:
For years customer was using a high-speed internet connection without any antivirus software loaded. As a result, all workstations on the customer's site were heavily infected with viruses and Spyware. The infection was so severe that two systems were rendered unusable.

Solution:
Our technical support staff paid a visit to the customer and using the latest technology in antivirus and anti-Spyware software worked on each system to clean up all instances of viruses and Spyware. Upon completion all customers computers were operating at peak performance and the two systems that were deemed unusable were put back into production thus saving the customer money that would have been spent buying two additional computers.

IT Outsource & Helpdesk Support
Problem:
Customer is spending valuable time out of employees to “fix” computer related problems. These two employees main job is not IT related and their involvement in IT support is making their own work fall behind.

Solution:
InMotion PC creates an IT Outsource & Helpdesk support package in which now the customer has a full featured IT helpdesk & support personnel without the overhead of hiring internal employees. Now employees that were side-tracked dealing with IT related issues can concentrate in their primary jobs without interruptions.
